Ages 11–14 · Tuesday nights · Mt Eliza
The Scout section is where young people aged 11 to 14 take on real challenges, real adventures and real responsibility. Scouts work in patrols — small teams where they plan, lead and do things together.
Every Tuesday night at 1st Ranelagh is different — one week might be a bridge-building engineering challenge, the next a hike through the Mt Eliza bush, the next a camp cooking night or navigation skills session.
Bigger adventures include overnight camps, multi-day hikes, and events like ScoutHike in Tallarook State Forest — where patrols navigate, camp and cook independently for a whole weekend.
Scouts work in patrols — small teams of 4 to 8, each led by a Patrol Leader. At 1st Ranelagh our patrols are colour-coded. Patrol Leaders plan activities, lead meetings and take real responsibility for their team.
Three new Scouts — Connor, Kash and Jack — are currently on trial. Welcome! 🎉
