1st Ranelagh Scout Group runs four sections, each designed for a different age group. Every section follows the Scouts Australia program — building skills, confidence and character through adventure and teamwork.
Joey Scouts is the first step into the world of Scouting. In a safe, fun and nurturing environment, Joeys discover the outdoors, make friends and begin to learn about the world around them through games, crafts and simple adventures.
Cub Scouts is where young people start pushing their boundaries — trying new things, building friendships and developing skills in a fun pack environment. From zip lines to kayaking, Cubs get stuck into real adventures.
The Scout section is where young people take on real challenges and real responsibility. Working in patrols, Scouts plan their own activities, lead each other and take on big adventures like ScoutHike in Tallarook State Forest.
Venturers are almost fully self-managing — they plan their own program, run their own meetings and take on increasingly ambitious adventures. With the King's Scout Award as the goal, Venturers push their limits and develop genuine leadership.
